This training has been designed for those who believe, feel, and know that yoga is more than the physical practice of asana. Our intention is to properly train yoga students to become strong, confident, and knowledgeable teachers. In addition to all of the relevant information about yoga philosophy, theory and teaching skills; we put a strong emphasis on deepening your personal practice. Thus, your training will be oriented toward expanding your own practice, while developing the ability to teach others.
Upon completion of this course you will be able to plan and teach a Vinyasa or Ashtanga inspired and a Restorative or Yin yoga class. This 200-hour Yoga Alliance accredited course is led by our senior teachers Gwendoline Ferreira (E-RYT500 & YACEP), Lauren Warnell (E-RYT500) and Justine Cardona. After completing the course, you will be able to register as a 200-hour Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance.
To teach Yoga authentically, we must first have an established personal practice. During this intensive course we will practice different styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Power, Restorative, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. To be certified as a yoga teacher you will need to follow the full course and complete the final exams.
You feel ready to take the next step and wish to become a Certified Yoga Teacher?
We recommend you to have at least 1 year of a regular and dedicated Yoga asana practice in Ashtanga, Vinyasa or Hatha yoga.
You wish to develop your own practice, learn more about Yoga and all its aspects, but you are not ready or do not wish to become a certified Yoga Teacher yet?
This course is also for you! It can be difficult to find the time and/or a place where to learn and practice more intensively than drop-in classes, so this is an opportunity to do so without expectation of becoming a yoga teacher.
If this is your wish, we recommend you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least 6 months. We will work with you to develop a daily asana, pranayama and meditation practice that best suits you. You will be able to follow exactly the same class schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the stress of completing a final examination. You will have some free time during the last days of the training as some hours are dedicated to the exams.
(course only without food and accommodation)
We reinvest 6% of the price of your Yoga Teacher Training into various projects such as School development, Bottle for Botol, Trash Hero Lembongan, Lembongan Cleaning, Marine Megafauna Foundation and others, supporting the local community and protecting the natural environment of Nusa Lembongan. Gwen Ferreira is an E-RYT500, RPYT and YACEP Yoga Teacher based on Nusa Lembongan island (Bali). She took her first yoga class around 20 years ago and has taught over 7000 hours of yoga classes. Gwen has been teaching yoga for over a decade and leading Yoga Bliss retreats and 200h & 300h teacher training since we opened in April 2016.
She has studied Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Anatomy, Yin Yoga, Prenatal, and Restorative Yoga with world-renowned teachers in France, India, and Indonesia. She trained with Monica Gauci, Gregor Maehle, Laruga Glaser, Janet Stone, Saul David Haye, Sienna Sherman, Paul Grilley, Judith Hanson Lasater and Jason Crandell.
Gwen teaches Ashtanga, Anatomy, Teaching Methodology, Business, Pranayama, and Meditation in our 200 and 300-hour YTT.
Her teaching style combines a traditional approach to yoga with the needs of each individual student.
She also specializes in helping yoga teachers create their own yoga businesses so they can achieve the freedom, income, and life they desire.
When Gwen is not practising yoga, you will find her watching the sunset with her 5-year-old boy and her British husband or in the ocean as she loves freediving and used to be a marine archaeologist and a dive instructor.
From watching her grandmother practice sun salutations as a child to becoming a globe-trotting yoga teacher and marine biologist, Lauren Warnell’s yoga journey has been a blend of personal passion, continuous learning, and a deep commitment to serving both people and the planet.
Her teaching journey started with a restorative yoga training in Mozambique in 2012, followed by vinyasa training in Mexico, yin training in Bali, and countless other trainings across the world, making her passport as well-worn as her yoga mat. Modalities Lauren has trained in include meditation, pranayama, bhakti yoga, ashtanga, yoga for mental health, and even SUP yoga! Lauren is energized by learning from talented teachers and sharing her knowledge with others. Now firmly rooted on Bali, this deeply spiritual Hindu island infuses her yoga teaching.
This integration of being a biologist and a yoga teacher also means Lauren is intrigued by the tangible, scientifically proven benefits of yoga, even training with a neuroscientist to take a deep dive into the effects of meditation and movement on the brain. Her fascination with the human body and mind, coupled with a dedication to being of service, drives her passion for all aspects of yoga and sharing them with others.
Justine Cardona has been a dedicated student of yoga for over a decade and has been teaching since 2017. She was introduced to yoga under the guidance of revered teachers, including Sharath Jois, Matt Corigliano, Radha and Prem, and Laruga Glaser, within the Ashtanga yoga tradition. Her journey began with a focus on discipline and dedication.
Her two favorite yoga styles are Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga. She started her journey with Ashtanga but quickly fell in love with Vinyasa as well, especially after being introduced to the science of sequencing. Justine is passionate about the process of creating a sequence, as it brings together structure, anatomy, and creativity. She finds it truly amazing to guide students and prepare them in a way that is safe, meaningful, and fun!
Justine aspires to cultivate a well-rounded practice and teaching methodology that resonates universally, blending the traditional rigor of her background with a holistic perspective. By embracing yoga's profound potential, she aims to empower others to discover its transformative benefits.
Outside of yoga, Justine loves exploring the world, immersing herself in diverse cultures, and seeking experiences that enrich her perspective and deepen her connection to yoga's universal teachings.
This course will be held at Yoga Bliss Lembongan, located on Nusa Lembongan island, 30 minutes away from Bali by boat. As a lot of travellers say Lembongan is similar to what Bali used to be 20 years ago. White sandy beach, blue clear water, quiet and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise begin to be a must to visit from Bali away from the traffic jam or the hawkers. A perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkelling, surfing, sunbathing and of course yoga.
Yoga Bliss is in the heart of Nusa Lembongan close to all commodities. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away, but as you will see everything is really close on the island as its size is approximately 7km².
We have two beautiful shala: one indoor shala with air conditioning and an equipment room (for our mountain of props) and an open air shala equipped with props and fan to enjoy the wind.
All the rooms at Green Garden Bungalows are on site and offer:
– Access to the swimming-pool
– Private terrace
– Private semi-outdoor bathroom with garden and hot water
- Air conditioning, mosquito net, WIFI, fridge, kettle and an umbrella.
If you choose the shared room, you will share these facilities with one other student. In this last case, you will occupied a twin bed room and have of course your own bed.
Food is important as it’s what keeping us functioning. We choose what we eat but sometimes we loose track and it can be hard in our busy world to take care of ourselves. What you eat affects your body and your mind in different way. If you choose the full pension package, Green Garden Restaurant will provide you 3 meals a day of healthy local food. The Restaurant is located just at the front of the shala.
You will have the choice between:
– A package not including food to have the freedom to eat wherever you want
– A package including breakfast only or full pension to save you some times between classes (meat/fish, vegan and vegetarian options).

I did the Sept 2017 YTTC. Gwen is the don of ashtanga, I love her! She gives it to you straight and is dedicated to creating solid teachers, which means she does give you some hard truths at times. I value this as I want to be able to represent ashtanga and yoga in general as a legitimate practitioner, especially as some courses seem to just give away the teacher training certification. She has a great cheeky sense of humour as she teaches and we all improved a lot. She taught an amazing anatomy course which she made funny and super interesting as it was yoga-specific. We had lots of teaching time (leading the morning practice and in the asana and yin labs) which meant we left feeling confident we could teach. As a dance teacher it also helped me feel confident on my feet when teaching a new ballet class as I’d had so much teaching practice. The second teacher’s sessions were hard work as it was warm in the afternoons, but she really powered through and kept us going. It took me a long time to accept the yoga philosophy and integrate it into my own Nichiren Buddhist beliefs but by the end I felt a real cohesion between the two, and I’m glad for that. As a vegan I did get bored of the menu, but to be honest I’m quite funny about food… There are other places on the island for fab vegan food so as long as you’re willing to treat yourself now and again you can switch it up. I’m really glad I chose this yoga alliance certified teacher training certification as meeting the two teachers and 15 other beautiful humans was a precious experience. You will be tired, but you will grow a lot. And snorkelling with manta rays was unforgettable – they’re sooo beautiful and majestic!

Every year for the past few years, I’ve followed a YTTC somewhere abroad. Some are good, some are less good :-). This year in July I participated in the YOGA BLISS 200 hour yoga teacher trainings. I choose this one, because everything was included: homestay, food (which was the best on the island) and training. But I got so much more than I expected. The yoga bliss TTC is by far the best yoga teacher trainings I’ve followed so far and is yoga alliance certified!! The teachers are very skilled and passionate about what they teach. They are two very real, authentic people, who are living their mission. And that is why this TTC is an absolute must do if you want to integrate yoga in your daily life. The teachers are such good teachers because they walk their talk. They will tell you all about yoga, but more important, you can see and feel what they are telling you. So yes they are yogini’s. But on top of that, they are walking their talk without forgetting to show their own vulnerability and flaws. By showing themselves as they are, they embody what yoga stands for: you don’t have to be perfect, just be you, as you are. And work from where you are, in this moment. This adds up why this teacher training certification is so good. It creates an environment of thrust were everyone can grow at his/her own pace. The teachers really team up for a unique balanced yin-yang approach. They’ve inspired the whole group to find our balance between “effort and surrender”. On our yoga mat. And in life. Because Yoga is life. PS: and of course Bali is great! Thank you so much for sharing your gift !!!

Yoga Bliss offers an inspirational YTT in a beautiful location with a great connection to nature. The standard of the teaching and the knowledge imparted is next to none and I have come away feeling fully prepared to continue my self practice and teach yoga to people all over the world.

I have done several yoga teacher training before in different lineages, but this one by far is the most informed, content packed one yet! I was surprised by the level of content and knowledge given throughout this yoga alliance certified yoga teacher training. The Ashtanga teacher is an extremely competent and knowledgable teacher, I learnt so much from her, I’m very happy with the course. The structure of this 200 hour yoga teacher training is perfect, the shala is beautiful, the food in green garden is amazing, along with the staff. I really could not of wished for a better yoga teacher training Loved the mix of yin and yang and feel fully ready to teach now. Best registered yoga school yet! Thank you to both incredible teachers! And of course everyone at green garden for this amazing 200-hour teacher training. It was a pleasure!

Settled in the nusa Lembongan island. Away from the main road but close walk to the beach. Yoga bliss is little Oasis. Gwen and Lisa share the knowledge of yoga and all what is it. They guide you in helping you to understand the philosophy and anatomy of yoga. They open up a little door of knowledge behind yoga that makes you leave wanting to go deeper and deeper into this world of knowledge.
Juliette
Amazing experience! This really was life changing. The course content was really comprehensive and Lisa and Gwen are incredibly knowledgeable tutors. As well as it being a great academic experience it also provided a catalyst for personal growth and change. I was really impressed with the program and the level of expectation in the students. The small class size of 16 was great in promoting a feeling of family and unity. An awesome group of like minded people there for the same outcome. It was great to get training on both yin style and yang style yoga. I feel I have come away with a lot to offer as a yoga teacher. The philosophy component has changed my whole personal practice and how I feel about yoga day to day on and off the mat. The anatomy component was really comprehensive. Highly recommend this course :D

Best decision ever made. The teachers are incredible at what they do. They gave me a whole new understanding of yoga and my personal practise, which I’ll be forever grateful for. The yoga teacher training program, the shala, the food and the homestay was all in high standard, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I feel ready to embrace my future as a certified yoga teacher with the new tools this yoga teacher training has given me. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. I would do it all over again at any time.
Natalia
I wholeheartedly recommend this yoga teacher training to anyone who is either wanting to deepen their practice or become a certified Yoga teacher. The content and schedule of the course exceeded expectations. The food was incredible (breakfast was my favourite – smoothie bowls and fresh fruit juices), and the teacher really goes out of her way to make sure you’re not only having a great experience, but also that you’re getting what you want from the course.yoga teacher training. Beyond the course, a snorkelling excursion and massage were included which were both fantastic experiences. I gained considerable knowledge about ashtanga and yin yoga as well as anatomy, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, and so much more on a personal level. This was a life changing and personal growth experience for me and will never forget it.

I took part at Yoga Bliss’ yoga teacher training at Lembongan this year! Best choice ever! The teachers taught as everything we wanted to know about Yin & Yang practice. Philosophy and Anatomy were absolutely interesting and they made it easy for everyone to follow, without making any shortcuts. We also learned different Pranayama and Meditation techniques and involved them more and more in our daily practice, everyone in his/her own tempo and knowledge. Food was healthy, delicious and local, you can choose your own option, vegan, veggie or meat. Over all I had an amazing time, met amazing people and would do it absolutely again! Thanks again for this great yoga teacher training! Namaste!

I did a 200 hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Bliss. The location is amazing and hidden in a tiny banana tree jungle, away from the main road, a 10 mn walk to the beach. Friendly and attentive staff at the Green Garden Restaurant (family owned), yummy food & drinks. Attending a yoga teacher training was one of the best decision I’ve taken. Even if you don’t wish to teach after it and gain a yoga instructor certification, the amazing teachers will share their knowledge, stories with passion and help you on your spiritual journey. I highly recommend this place on beautiful, still quiet Nusa Lembongan Island.
Tina
I learned so much in this yoga alliance certified teacher training and loved every minute of it. It is as you may expect pretty intense, but to me it was actually liberating to just focus on one single thing for three weeks. Such a good and rewarding experience. Teachers are great, and the restaurant and shala nice! Food is good and healthy and the staff very friendly. I would recommend staying in the rooms of Yoga bliss, they are really nice. One of the best experiences in my life! Thank you !!!
Isabelle
This teacher training certification was such an amazing experience and truly surpassed my expectations. The day was split between yang style in the morning and yin in the afternoon which I found to be a perfect balance. The schedule is intense compared to an online yoga teacher course as it sums up to 12 hours of training a day and one day off a week, so if you plan to visit the island a bit, i would recommend coming a few days early or leaving a few days later after the yoga teacher training has ended. The teachers were excellent. The Ashtanga teacher is very knowledgeable in ashtanga which she gained from Mysore. The philosophy and Yin teacher is wonderful and would engage with us on various topics leading to interesting discussions. The shala is very peaceful and green, a perfect place to practice. Make sure you have enough experience in ashtanga (practicing the full primary) if you really want to teach otherwise you will have the choice to complete the program as a practitioner wanting to deepen his own practice. It is best to recognise where your practice is and be realistic with yourself if you can really teach at this stage being. You will also be enjoying fresh smoothie bowls everyday. This teacher training certification program is highly recommended for its price for value! Thank you for a wonderful experience I will never forget and hope to share what Ive learnt with others
Of course. Many people enroll in a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training program because it’s a great way to immerse themselves in yoga knowledge and to deepen their own personal practice. During the course, we will ask you if you wish to learn how to teach or simply focus on your practice and will respect your choice. Just so you know, many people who come only desiring to level-up their practice decide to also learn how to teach!
What makes this training different than the rest? We put unparalleled emphasis on helping each individual student succeed. Instead of providing the exact same curriculum and path for all students, we spend a great deal of time supporting you on your own individual journey; in helping you progress and discover your own teaching style. You will also not just learn how to practice and teach 1 yoga styles but 4 (Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative). This is why we limit the course to 16 students, led by 3 very experienced yoga teachers.
The payment is done in two steps. Step 1 is the deposit of $500 to secure your spot. Step 2 will be the rest of the course payment due 30 days before arrival. You can pay with a visa, credit card or PayPal using our secured checkout process.
