50-hour Yin Yoga
Join Yoga Bliss’ exclusively Yin Yoga teacher training on the beautiful Nusa Lembongan, Bali.
Aimed at helping you to discover a more mindful approach to all practices of Yoga asana, this Yin Yoga teacher training will support you in finding the balance between Yin and Yang both on and off the mat. You’ll emerge with a broader knowledge of Yin Yoga and its philosophy, pranayama techniques to support your Yin Yoga practice, as well as Buddhist Mindfulness meditation practices.

Being a yoga teacher means orienting your life towards your highest potential. It is a commitment to not only yourself, but to others as well. This training has been designed for those who believe, feel, and know that yoga is more than the physical practice of asana.
Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive a 50-hour continuing education certificate approved by the Yoga Alliance.
In addition to all of the relevant information about Yin Yoga philosophy, theory, and teaching skills; Yoga Bliss puts a strong emphasis on developing your personal practice, thus your training will be oriented toward deepening your own practice while showing you how to teach others.
Yoga Bliss’ intention is to properly train students to become strong, confident, and knowledgeable teachers. The program is designed to provide information and training that not only meets, but exceeds all standards set by any “alliance”.
By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently teach a 60, 75 or 90 minute Yin Yoga class.

The morning practice will be a Yang style class that focuses on coordinating your breath with movement and building the strength needed to support your flexibility. The afternoon practice will be a Yin class to restore physical and energetic balance, nourish the deeper connective tissues in the body, and calm the mind.
We will guide you through Buddhist Mindfulness meditation techniques to accompany your Yin Yoga practice and help you establish a daily meditation practice.
• Anatomy and physiology
Explore energy body anatomy – vital energy (prana), energy centers (chakras) and energy channels (meridians and nadis); Review tension vs. compression and how this knowledge should inform your use of props; Understand the movements of the spine and hips; Define connective tissue and the target areas of yin yoga; Touch on the science behind the physiological and psychological benefits of yin yoga and mindfulness
Different pranayama techniques have different effects on the body, mind, and energetic systems-some are more activating and some are more calming. We will explore the best pranayama practices to accompany your Yin Yoga practice.
• Asana and Teaching lab
Together we will explore how Yin Yoga is a practice that can be beneficial to absolutely everyone. Through looking at the different physical structures of our bodies, we will explore all of the various ways to best support our students in their practice. Learn how to recognize what limitations a student might be facing, and how you can assist them in finding a variation of the shape that meets them where they are at. Discover how “riding the wave of speech and non-speech” while your teaching, will offer the most beneficial experience for your students
• Philosophy of Yin Yoga
Chinese Meridian Theory – Learn the basics of Chinese meridian theory, the five elements and how they relate to yin yoga – Discover how each meridian and element can inform your practise and teaching – Understand the physical, mental, and emotional indicators of deficiency and excess in the meridians
WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
• Teachers with a a 200hour Yoga Teacher Certification from Yoga Bliss or any other Yoga School
As this course is designed for those who are already in a yoga teaching role, we recommend that you have at least one year of experience teaching, or a minimum of two years of consistent practice.

This course will be held at Yoga Bliss Lembongan, located on Nusa Lembongan island, 30 minutes away from Bali by boat. As a lot of travellers say Lembongan is similar to what Bali used to be 20 years ago. White sandy beach, blue clear water, quiet and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise begin to be a must to visit from Bali away from the traffic jam or the hawkers. A perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkelling, surfing, sunbathing and of course yoga.
Yoga Bliss is in the heart of Nusa Lembongan close to all commodities. The beach is only 5 minutes walk away, but as you will see everything is really close on the island as its size is approximately 7km².
We have two beautiful shala: one indoor shala with air conditioning and an equipment room (for our mountain of props) and an open air shala equipped with props and fan to enjoy the wind
Food is important as it’s what keeping us functioning. We choose what we eat but sometimes we loose track and it can be hard in our busy world to take care of ourselves. What you eat affects your body and your mind in different way.
If you choose the full pension package, Green Garden Restaurant will provide you 3 meals a day of healthy local food. The Restaurant is located just at the front of the shala.
You will have the choice between:
– A package not including food to have the freedom to eat wherever you want
– A package including breakfast only or full pension to save you some times between classes (meat/fish, vegan and vegetarian options).
All the rooms at Green Garden Bungalows are on site and offer:
– Access to the swimming-pool
– Private terrace
– Private semi-outdoor bathroom with garden and hot water
– Air conditioning, mosquito net, WIFI, fridge, kettle and an umbrella.
If you choose the shared room, you will share these facilities with one other student. In this last case, you will occupied a twin bed room and have of course your own bed.
