It is a commitment to not only yourself, but to others as well. This training has been designed for those who believe, feel, and know that yoga is more than the physical practice of asana.
Our intention is to properly train yoga students to become strong, confident, and knowledgeable teachers.
In addition to all of the relevant information about Yoga philosophy, theory and teaching skills; we put a strong emphasis on developing your personal practice thus your training will be oriented toward deepening your own practice while showing you how to teach others.
By the end of the course, you will be able to confidently teach a range of classes including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative.
• Vinyasa style classes and sequencing
• Yin Yoga practice, modifications and adjustments
• Successful sequencing of a 90 minute yoga class (Vinyasa and Yin)
• Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation
• An in-depth look into Samkyha Yoga philosophy
• Practical anatomy
• Establishing a successful self-practice of asana, pranayama and meditation
• Small groups guarantee with maximum 20 students per training
SCHEDULE (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
6:30 to 8 am Vinyasa practice
8 to 9 am Pranayama and Meditation
9 to 10 am Breakfast
10 to 11am Anatomy or Philosophy
11 to 1pm Asana lab
1 to 2 pm Lunch break
2 to 4 pm Anatomy or Philosophy
4 to 5 pm Yin Theory
5 to 6:30 pm Yin Yoga practice
Sunday is a day off (snorkeling excursion included)

Yoga Bliss is located on Nusa Lembongan island, a 30 minute boat ride from Bali. As many travellers say, it’s like Bali used to be 20 years ago. White sandy beaches, clear turquoise water, quiet and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise began to be a must visit from Bali, away from the traffic jam and hawkers. A perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkelling, surfing, sunbathing and of course yoga.
Our shala is in the heart of Lembongan close to all amenities. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away, but as you will see everything is really close on the island as its size is approximately 8km².
Food is important as it’s what keeps our bodies functioning. We choose what we eat, but sometimes we lose track and it can be hard in our busy world to take care of ourselves. What you eat effects your body and your mind in various ways.
During your training with us you will have the time to explore new food, and new ways of eating and cleansing. It will always be your own choice what you eat, and we will not ask you to follow a particular path.
We will provide you 3 meals a day of healthy local food at our Green Garden Eco Warung, located at the same place than the shala. You will have the choice between vegan, vegetarian and meat options.
For your stay with us, we offer you different options to suit all budgets:
Yoga Bliss Private Deluxe Bungalows: offers a private terrace, a private bathroom with hot water, air conditioning, a mosquito net, WIFI, a fridge, a kettle and an umbrella. That is our students preferred choice! We only have 11 bungalows at the moment so make sure to reserve your spot in advance.
Partner Guesthouse: We usually book rooms at Nyoman Guesthouse (or Radya Homestay) which is located just 5 minutes walk from Yoga Bliss and offers nice rooms with double large bed or twin beds for the shared room (AC/FAN depending of your choice), private bathroom and WIFI. We might have to change guesthouse from time to time, but will always maintain the same standards, this includes a swimming pool for you to have a dip in at lunch time.
Your training will be oriented to deepen your own practice while showing you how to teach others.
The morning practice will be a Vinyasa class that focuses on coordinating your breath with movement and building the strength needed to support your flexibility.
The afternoon practice will be a Yin class to restore physical balance, gain flexibility, and calm the mind.
We will introduce you multiple meditation techniques to help you establish a daily practice.
Anatomy and physiology:
We will be discussing how the bones, muscles, joints, and all of the systems of the body interact and work together to support and maintain our physical bodies. No prerequisite is needed, only an open mind and the desire to learn more about your body. We will explore each part of the body to understand what stops you or your students to go further in a pose. You will gain an incredible knowledge of yourself and the tools needed to assess students in classes.
We will be teaching different techniques to control the prana (life force) within each and every one of us. Different pranayama techniques have different effects on the body, mind and energetic systems–some are more activating and some are more calming.
We will teach you how to incorporate pranayama into your everyday life and into your own daily practice.
Asana and teaching lab:
Learning to align ourselves correctly in poses keeps us stable and safe from injury, while maximizing the benefits from each pose. We will guide you in how to correctly align yourself, and your students in postures. We will go through different variations in order to effectively teach to all levels. The teaching of hands-on adjustments will also be discussed so that students can be physically guided into better alignment, more depth and/or relaxation in postures.
Philosophy, texts and concepts:
We will dive into the history and philosophy of Yoga and how this ancient tradition developed from it’s strong Hindu mythological influence to the more Westernized version we often experience today. We will explore excerpts from some of the most influential Yoga texts including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Bhagavad Gita, Heart of Yoga, and Light on Yoga.

To teach Yoga authentically, we must first have an established personal practice.
During this intensive course we will practice both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga.
You feel ready to take the next step and wish to become a Certified Yoga Teacher?
We recommend you to have at least one year of a regular and dedicated Yoga asana practice in a yang style of yoga (Vinyasa, Hatha, or Power etc.)
You wish to develop your own practice, learn more about Yoga and all its aspects, but you are not ready or do not wish to become a certified Yoga Teacher yet?
This course is also for you! It can be difficult to find the time and/or a place where to learn and practice more intensively than drop-in classes, so this is an opportunity to do so without expectation of becoming a yoga teacher.
If this is your wish, we recommend you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least 6 months. We will work with you to develop a daily asana, pranayama and meditation practice that best suits you. You will be able to follow exactly the same class schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the stress of completing a final examination.
During the last week of the training you will have different assessment to complete, some written and some practical.
